THE MOTHER WOUND: How Our Relationship With Our Mother Shapes Our Lives
Our relationship with our mother is often our first experience of love, connection, safety, and belonging.
Whether that relationship was nurturing, complicated, distant, overwhelming, or painful, it can continue to shape the way we relate to ourselves and others long into adulthood.
Many people carry emotional patterns they do not fully understand. This includes difficulty with boundaries, people-pleasing, fear of rejection, self-criticism, emotional disconnection, or struggles in relationships. Often, these patterns are not simply personal flaws, but are connected to deeper experiences within the family system.
Through the lens of Family Constellations, we begin to explore how our bond with our mother and the experiences carried across generations of women in the family may influence our emotional world, identity, relationships, confidence, and sense of self-worth.
