What Are You Carrying
That Isn’t Yours?

From your Ancestors to Descendants
Before you step into 2027, take a deeper look at what you’re carrying with you.
We often enter a new year thinking about what we want to change.
New goals. New intentions. New relationships. More money.
A different career. A different way of living.
But sometimes creating something new isn’t only about deciding where we want to go. It’s about understanding what we’re bringing with us.
Unburdening the Self is an eight week journey through past, present and future, beginning with the people and experiences that came before you and ending with the life you consciously want to create.
Over eight weeks, we’ll explore your parents, ancestors, childhood, inherited patterns, relationships, grief, resources and legacy through teaching and experiential Family Constellations work.

The 8 Week Journey

THE PAST
Week 1: Before You
Soul Mapping: The Story That Began Before You
We begin by mapping the people, events, losses, migrations and patterns that shaped your family long before you arrived.
Reflection: What story did I arrive into?
Week 2: Where You Come From
Parents, Ancestors & the Lands That Made You
Explore your relationship with your parents, ancestral lineages, culture and homeland, and how they shaped your sense of identity and belonging.
Reflection: What does it mean to belong to where I come from?
Week 3: What Was Passed Down
Understanding Trauma Through a Systemic Lens
Not everything we carry begins with us. We explore generational trauma, family loyalties, loss and survival patterns, alongside the strengths passed down through your lineage.
Reflection: What am I carrying that didn’t begin with me?
THE PRESENT
Week 4: What Happened to You
The Inner Child & Your Own Story
We turn towards your childhood: the needs you had, the roles you took on and the ways you learned to adapt in order to belong.
Reflection: What happened to me, and who did I become because of it?
Week 5: The Life You’re Living Now
Love, Money, Work & Adult Patterns
We connect the past to the present, exploring how old patterns may still be showing up in your relationships, money, work, boundaries and the life you allow yourself to have.
Reflection: Where am I choosing, and where am I repeating?
Week 6: What Hasn’t Been Mourned
Grief, Loss & What Remains Unfinished
We make space for what was lost but perhaps never fully grieved: people, relationships, childhoods, homes, dreams and parts of ourselves left behind.
Reflection: What needs to be grieved so it no longer needs to be carried?
THE FUTURE
Week 7: What Comes After You
Descendants, Choice & Legacy
We turn towards what comes next: what you want to end, what deserves to continue and what you consciously want to pass forward.
Reflection: What do I want those who come after me to inherit?
Week 8: Step Into Life Fully
Taking Your Place & Choosing Your Life
We finish by turning towards life: honouring where you come from without having to repeat it, leaving behind what isn’t yours and choosing what comes next.
Reflection: What life am I ready to step into?
